What Your Money Buys: $98 equals seven days of meals (a full week!), $70 buys ten meals, $49 covers seven meals, $28 is enough for four meals, and $7 means one meal for a person in need.

We need your help to continue to meet the needs of Monroe County's elderly and homebound.

Approximately 50% of our clients are private pay, meaning that they have limited or no resources to cover their meal costs: some pay as little as $0.50 per meal. The remainder are funded through a variety of sources, including state Managed Care Organizations and the county Area Agency on Aging. Although we receive some federal, state, and county funds toward meal costs, government funding is insufficient to pay for the complete cost of providing meals. Plus, the cost of providing these meals continues to rise, and grants are never guaranteed. Anything you can give would be warmly appreciated.
